LAW 535 - Regulation of the Health Care Industry and ProfessionalsCredits, 2 sem. hrs.This class explores the regulatory environment affecting physicians, health care professionals and health care institutions, including licensing, staff privileges, peer review, and accreditation. This course will also examine the role of the legislative branch of government in health care through a review of major government health programs and policies. Students will learn how health policy gets formulated, evaluated, and assessed prior to being voted into law and will then explore the process of new policy implementation. |
